Silicon Valley
“Rome was not built overnight” is how the idiom goes. And, indeed Silicon Valley wasn’t either. The educational institutions that are still at the core of the entrepreneurship and technological innovation we find so common place today in the Bay Area, California were what came first: Santa Clara University, UC Berkeley and Stanford, found in 1851, 1868 and 1885, respectively. It is indeed this mindset of mastering fundamental knowledge before getting to the “dojo” that we preach through betaPlan.
But let’s take a look at what this focus around education brought about in what was not yet called Silicon Valley.
The Dojo methodology focused around a full-stack training program enables alumni to obtain higher salaries right off the bat: +67% and +117% for college and high school graduates in the US, respectively. The average salary of Dojo graduates in the US is $76k per year. Coding Dojo has refined its curriculum to offer the most in-demand coding languages: Python, C#.NET, as well as Java, MERN and Ruby (coming soon in Albania). These backend platforms are of course supplemented with CSS, HTML and JavaScript, as well as thorough database knowledge which all combined leads to +86% employment of Coding Dojo alumni within the first 6 months after graduation from the program.
